The Australian film library “Absolutely Wild Visuals”, which represents some of the world’s finest independent filmmakers, is now Australia’s exclusive agent for British Movietone.
Australian film and TV producers will now have direct access to over 48,000 newsreel stories covering over 50 years of world history. This footage is also  completely available for on-line viewing and research.
British Movietone is one of the world’s major collections of cinema newsreel covering the period 1929 – 1979, as well as selected coverage from the turn of the century to 1929. In addition to the newsreels are unique feature film outtakes, particularly suitable for historical programming.
British Movietone is the only newsreel archive that has meticulously transferred its nitrate newsreels to safety film, thereby offering filmmakers the finest quality material for their production needs.
A large selection of British Movietone sub-masters are now held in Absolutely Wild Visuals Sydney office to ensure Australian clients have faster access to material and without costly international courier fees.
